Built in 1979 originally as a pay & play golf complex. Frankfield proved so popular with its regulars a club was formed in 1984 with full affiliation. The club excelled over its life time and helped produce 5 PGA golf Professionals along with the Golf Academy. The public course closed in 2014 with plans for a state of the art short game centre due to open late in 2015.
